Profile

Over the last 10 years or so, Isabelle Darmon has been working across cultural sociology, critical theory, and sociology of global environment and sustainability. Since 2018, Isabelle has been pursuing the development of a materialist cultural sociology of the arts and art domains. In parallel, Issabelle works on theorising social sustainability; in particular, on relating it to the inequality-unsustainability nexus at the heart of capitalism, and also of capitalist transitions.
