Profile

Darrick Evensen's research and teaching lie in the broad area of public perceptions and reactions to contentious environmental issues. Darrick is particularly focused on the role of public audiences in energy and climate policy, both at domestic and international/global scales. Darrick investigates public perceptions, preferences, and public actions taken in response to environmental and energy issues and policy decisions. Darrick is currently involved in several grants examining public reactions to sub-surface energy development, and the implications of this for energy transitions and net-zero climate targets.
