Alette Willis' overarching interest is in how people use narratives to make sense of their embodied emotional experiences, to give meaning to their lives, and to make ethical choices, particularly in relation to the more-than-human world and to the nature and climate crises we are currently facing. Alette works with living labs approaches to teaching and researching nature, greenspace, and well-being. Alette studies, works with, and trains researchers and third-sector organisations in the use of story in knowledge exchange, engagement, and behaviour change. In addition to her academic work, Alette is a performance storyteller and children’s author.
