The Feminist Roadmap for Sustainable Peace and Planet (FRSPP) project has received further funding from the Rockefeller Brothers Foundation.
The FRSPP is based on the premise that building and sustaining peace requires addressing both the inequalities, marginalisations and exclusions that underlie armed conflicts, and the climate and biodiversity crises that undermine human security.
Current peacemaking and peacebuilding practices too often leave these inequalities and crises untouched, or even deepen them. And current economic recovery paradigms which largely rely on extractive, rather than sustainable forms of development, also too often have the effect of exacerbating pre-existing inequalities and worsening environmental degradation.
The FRSPP seeks to chart alternative pathways that transform our extractive economic system and facilitate sustainable peace.
