Coproducing socioecological care with communities in the Highlands of Scotland

School of Social and Political Science (SPS) academic Dr Sarah Parry has received funding for a project exploring everyday care and its relationship to sustainability.

The project, titled Building Sustainability on a Foundation of Care, will examine how to build more harmonious people-planet relations by exploring the transformative potential of everyday caring practices. 

Collaborating with community co-researchers in three case studies in Badenoch and Strathspey, Highlands of Scotland that are already, yet differently, engaged in socioecological care, the project will illustrate different environmental policy agendas and presents opportunities to explore inter-human, inter-species and inter-generational socioecological caring relations.
